Austin was born on April 15, 1993 in Los Angeles, California.

His Father is an artist and furniture designer and Mother’s background is in Interior Design and owns Summit Furniture, a high-end Teak Manufacturer with a showroom in the Pacific Design Center. His paternal Dutch grandfather was a professional photographer in Holland. Austin also travels internationally with both parents which has given him a worldwide perspective as well.

Austin’s West Hollywood neighborhood is filled with trendy restaurants, design professionals, artists, and of course, celebrities. He has grown up frequenting the local art galleries, museums, and restaurants, in addition to all the regular cultural activities a 14 year old would embrace.
Thus, he is very plugged into the current cultural trends and the individual celebs who tout them.

Austin's has always been fiercely independent. He shies away from team sports in favor of more alternative activities: extreme sports such as BMX, paintball, golf, dirt biking, and Jujitsu. He is highly attracted to music and plays several instruments. He is techno savvy with respect to the Internet, computers, and most other electronic technology and stays up to date on everything.

Austin is very bright but he has never fit into the standard classroom experience. Most teachers (though not all) don't want to deal with his constant questioning and inability to fit into a structured mold. He's been successfully home schooled for the past year. During this time he picked up a camera and a little photographer was hatched. He has always possessed an amazing visual acuity. He notices anything out of place in a room and can scan photos for details at an astonishing rate.

About 6 months ago, Austin's mom was at a local spa and Paris Hilton happened to be there. While talking to Austin on her cell phone, she casually mentioned the famous celebrity's presence and Austin came right over. Paris was very kind to him and later left the spa side by side with Austin into a throng of waiting paparazzi. The experience fascinated him and he started to bring along his camera when he frequented top restaurants in the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area with his mother and friends.

He has always been at ease with celebrities and is constantly striking up conversations with them at restaurants and other local hotspots. He is naturally charismatic, amiable, and approachable. Thus, he has been discovered by the celebrities he was photographing, who in turn found him entirely captivating.

Since the onset of his latest adventure, he has developed many mentors and friends among the paparazzi community. Many have taken a strong attachment, tinged with admiration, for the drive and dedication Austin possesses. He has lately become part of the story amidst the wild craze to capture the everyday life of Hollywood's celebrities.
